Soon, in early April, we will be heading to Bordeaux to taste the new 2024 vintage.
So starting in April, the wines from the 2023 vintage will no longer be available at their primeur prices!
Personally, I am a big fan of these highly aromatic wines, where the right bank especially highlights red fruit, and on the left bank, the fresh-cut blackberries and sometimes floral notes stand out in the nose.
On the palate, they don't have those very warm notes of the past years, but rather a soft texture with the necessary depth and complexity, and in the best wines, extremely refined tannins. The wines are balanced and fresh, but not acidic. So, classic Bordeaux at its best!
Moreover, these 2023 wines are very attractively priced due to the economic downturn! This is the perfect time to acquire a fine, classy Grand Cru Classé at the appealing primeur price. Only until the end of March 2025, so act fast!
