5ième Grand Cru Classé
This 45ha-vineyard
belongs to the MAIF (French health insurance scheme) since 1988. The management
has been in hands of the daughter of André Lurton, Christine for a long time. Laurent
Fortin is now director since 2013. His goal is to obtain a higher quality with
a new vinification system and new techniques, a restyling of the label and an
increasing of the amount of second wine Labastide Dauzac. Finally, he brought
the domain in conversion to biodynamics and the wine got the ‘vegan’
certificate since 2016. This means that no animal products were used, e.g. no
egg whites to clear the wine.
