This cru belongs to 4
famous people; Xavier Planty, Oliver Bernard (Dom de Chevalier), Stephan Von
Neipperg (Canon La Gaffelière and La Mondotte) and Robert Peugeot. Together with Ch. Climens, Ch. Guiraud is one of
the few Sauternes with a certificate for biological agriculture (since 2011). A
special garden with medical herbs was created to fight diseases in the
vineyard; a very original approach in this region. The vineyard contains 100ha
and is situated in Sauternes with Ch. d’Yquem as neighbour. Recently, a new
bistro, which has all the Sauternes of the region on the wine card, was opened
on the estate.
