2009Champagne Thiénot La Vigne aux Gamins(White)

This unique champagne is a small production (only 3500 bottles a year) from an excellent parcel in Avize (Côte des Blancs), a big terroir for chardonnay, planted 60 years ago (old vines) by the Thienot family. The lime terroir containing chalk in the under layer, gives an incredibly fine wine. It is said to be an exceptional vintage (2008) in combination with a monocepage of chardonnay on a perfect terroir (perfect expression), ripened for 11 years in the cellar of Thienot and commercialized only now. The dosage is negligible 4gr/l. The name of this cru comes from the children of Alain Thienot: Stanislas and Garance who played on the terroir in their youth.
