Saint Emilion Premier Grand Cru Classé A
This cru belongs to
Hubert de Boüard, a fantastic winemaker and advisor on different domains. The
past few years, a succession of top vintages was produced, always with an
enormous richness and concentration of fine fruit. The terroir is perfectly
situated on a clay-lime soil. This wine can be kept for a very long time
without any problems (some of my customers testify that they have tasted very
old vintages and they were very enthusiastic about it). The result of this
quality has been rewarded with promotion in the ranking of St. Emilion Grand
Cru Classé ‘B’ to ‘A’ in 2012 and is now ranked next to Ch. Ausone and Ch.
Cheval Blanc.
