2018Château La Violette(Red)

This very small cru of 1,60ha close to the church, belongs to the Péré Vergé family. Henri Parent has the lead of the domain (just as Ch. Le Gay). The terroir is situated next to Ch. Le Pin which consists of mainly clay and fine gravel. The yields are extremely low in this small vineyard (35hl/ha). The age of the vines is on average 50 years. This contributes to an extremely concentrated and fine wine. Besides, the destemming can be done by hand thanks to the small production. The vinification is done for 100% in small barrels and the wine ripens on 100% new oak barrels for 15 months. The advice is given by Michel Rolland. Only 5500 bottles are produced for worldwide distribution. Order very quickly!
