Château La Fleur de Gay
was separated from Ch. La Croix de Gay since 1982. It only has 2ha of top terroir divided into three
parcels. The first parcel « La Fleur » with pure clay like its
neighbour’s Ch. Petrus, a second parcel “De Gay” with günz gravel as the
terroir of Ch. Lafleur and a third parcel between Ch. Trotanoy and Ch. Le Pin. Chantal
Lebreton vinifies an excellent wine on 100% new oak barrels just as its famous
neighbours with great passion. Given the
small surface (2ha), harvest can be delayed to the last moment when everything
is perfectly ripe. Everything can be picked in one day. The price is more
reasonable if you compare it with its neighbours (Ch. Petrus, Ch. le Pin, Ch. Lafleur). Now you will
understand why this wine is highly recommended for its price-quality. Mind that
the production is very limited; only 5000 bottles are made worldwide. Order
