Ch. Gazin
had once been a barn of the “Hospitaliers of Saint-Jean de Jérusalem”, so shows
the red cross on the label. With its one-piece terroir from 24.4ha, it is one
of the biggest properties of Pomerol. The owner is Mr. Nicolas de Baillencourt.
The gravel-clay soil is of very high quality and has a typical “crasse de fer” subsoil.
The owner even sold a piece to Ch. Petrus in the 70s. This is a Pomerol of very
high class.
