This cru of 47.5ha still
has a real castle and is worth its name ‘castle’ contrary to a lot of other
Pomerols. It possesses the biggest vineyard of Pomerol and has a sand-gravel
terroir. This cru is situated in the north-west of the appellation and it
always delivers delicious wines in their youth that can be kept for 10 years.
The price stays reasonable. The chateau belongs to the Lambert family.
