This cru of 85ha has
a fantastic terroir that borders to Ch. Latour and Ch. Pichon Baron. The
chateau is beautiful, and the wine is of very high quality! After years of being
property of Mrs. May-Elaine de Lencquesaing, this cru is now in hands of the
Rouzaud family since 2007. They are the same owners of the champagne house
Roederer. The wines of Pichon Comtesse are more and more luxurious and have
more cabernet sauvignon in the assembly these last few years, this means more
storage potential. The chateau vinifies
the wine in a new vinification cellar since 2013 with twice as many cuvees and
with the new techniques. This wine has gained a lot of precision and quality.
Thanks to this new installation, they can vinify per parcel and per vintage.
