The chateau is
property of the Castéja family (same owner as Ch. Trotte Vieille and Ch. Lynch
Moussas) since 1961. Philippe Castéja is now director of the domain. The
vineyard is 58ha with an average age of 40 years. Ch. Batailley is a
magnificent wine that develops itself when it gets older (after 10 years).
Remark the exceptional big concentration of cabernet sauvignon (80%), these
grapes were perfectly ripe.
