The cellar of this
cru of 80ha is situated in Cantenac. The terroir consists of 120 parcels expanded
over 5 districts of Margaux. This means a huge task for the advisor Stéphane
Derenoncourt. His method: each terroir can be great if we at least can
understand the terroir and if the correct type of vintage is planted. Ch.
Prieuré Lichine was one of his greatest assignments on the ‘Rive Droite (right
side of the Gironde). He needed more than 10 years to understand these terroirs
and to obtain the current quality. This cru belongs to the Ballande group. The
chateau disposes of an optical eye for the selection of the berries since 2009.
