Château La Cour d’Argent belongs to the Barraud family since the beginning. It is Dennis Barraud who makes the wine, a very good wine maker, also known from Château Lynsolence and Château des Gravières in Saint Emilion. The terroir consists of 10ha clay-lime in Gémissac and 9ha sand-gravel in Saint Sulpice de Faleyrens. The vines already have a respectable age (35 years) and the yields are kept very low 45hl/ha as for a Grand Cru. The wine ripens for 14 months on oak barrels that have already been used. These factors determine the intensity, complexity and success of this wine. It often receives a score of 90/100 by different critics. All this for a reasonable price!
