Promo 11+1
The cru got its name
from the small hamlet Catusseau where the chateau is situated, next to Ch. L’Evangile,
Ch. La Conseillante and Vieux Ch. Certan. The terroir is perfect for a great
Pomerol (clay-gravel). The chateau is property of Axa Millésimes (just as Ch.
Pichon Longueville Baron at Pauillac). The wine ripens for 60 to 70% on new oak
barrels for 15 months. Only 60% of the harvest is used for the first wine. The advisor
is Stéphane Derenoncourt, who helped the cru raise to the highest level within the
appellation. From millésime 2015 a new technical director was recruited: Mrs.
Diana Garcia Berrouet.
