Saint Emilion - Saint Emilion Premier Gr Cru Classe B
Alcohol 0,0 %
This cru of 23,5 ha is situated next to Ch. Ausone and has a lime soil on the plateau and a clay-lime composition on the slopes. This cru belonged to the family Dubois-Challon (since 1916) for a long time, until Mme Dubois-Challon donated the chateau to Mr. Delbeck when she died in 2003. In 2008, the estate was in hands of the Moueix family (Ch. Petrus), who added the name of the grandmother of Christian Moueix “Monange” to Ch. Bélair. It is now the team of Moueix, under the direction of Eric Murisasco who vinifies the wine. The cru has more structure since, without losing elegance. Recently, the terroir of neighbour Ch. Magdeleine, also property of Moueix, was also integrated in Ch. Bélair Monange.
