The terroir of this
cru of 7ha is situated next to Ch. Ausone. It is not that big, and it belongs
to the vineyards of Alain Vauthier and his family (Ch. Ausone). The yields are almost
even low as Ch. Ausone (30hl/ha). The wine also ripens on 85% new oak barrels for
18 months. Ch. Moulin St. Georges has an interesting price-quality ratio and a
beautiful, intense and fine Ausone-style. Only 2500 cases are made yearly.
