This chateau belonged to the Reiffers family
until it was sold to the Cuvelier family in 2013 (Ch. Clos Fourtet, also
neighbour). The vineyard only disposes 2ha in the center of St. Emilion and
borders on Ch. Clos Fourtet. This cru owes its name to the remains of the wall
of a gothic church that still stands in the vineyard, situated at the entrance
gate of St. Emilion. The wine is now professionally vinified by the team of Ch
Clos Fourtet in the underground lime cellars of St. Emilion. Seen this lime
terroir, this Grand Cru Classé has an incredible finesse and elegance combined
with concentration.
