This is the parental house of the famous
oenologist-adviser Michel Rolland and also his most beautiful cru. The terroir
is clay-gravel and gravel-sand and has persisted the climatology very well. The
vines have an average of 30 years old and the wine is vinified in small
barrels. This requires more labour but the result of the fruit and the
expression is sublime. This year there are only 2500 cases for worldwide
distribution. The chateau was sold in 2013 because of family-related issues to
a Chinese investment group from Hong Kong. Dany and Michel Rolland continue the
vinification.
