Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel
This cru is one of the flagships of Vignobles Dourthe together with Ch. Grand Barrail Lamarzelle Figeac and Ch. Belgrave. Al these wines are worth their money. The vineyard is beautifully situated between Ch. Calon Ségur and Ch. Sociando Mallet with view on the Gironde (best terroirs). Those who have never tasted this wine, definitely have to. The quality is exceptional, and the price is very interesting. Ch. Le Bosq is a wine that ages with grace and tastes delicious after 8 years. Recently, I tasted some older millésimes that prove this. Absolute love at first sight for this appellation! From 2016, a selection machine with optical eye was used for a better selection of the berries. In 2017, 5% of the harvest was directly vinified into 18 barrels (all fermentations in small barrels). These lots give extra expression of the fruit and a bigger complexity to the wine.
