Ch. Siaurac has a one-piece terroir of 46ha on the
plateau of Néac, it is the biggest château of the appellation and one of the
most popular. For long time owned by the Guichard family, since 2013 it became
property of Mr. François Pinault (Ch. Latour in Pauillac). He intends to make a
very qualitative wine and has the talented Mrs. Pénélope Godefrey and Mr.
Jean-Claude Berrouet (former wine maker at Ch. Pétrus) vinifying the wine. The
terroir in Néac is one of the most beautiful ridges of the appellation, with
mostly clay-gravel compositions. He has divided it into 40 different parcels,
in order to adapt the plantation to the specific terroir, and to obtain a
perfect assembly.
