Ch. de France belongs to Mr. Arnauld Thomassin who successfully succeeds his father. The terroir is a wonderful slope in the rural village of Léognan next to the Grand Cru Ch. de Fieuzal, a hundred meters from Ch. Malartic Lagravière and just before Dom. De Chevalier. All the conditions to make a great wine are available and the vineyard now has a respectable age. The white wine of this chateau is wonderful just as the red wine, but this cabernet sauvignon requires a minimum storage of 5 years before it can richly and beautifully develop itself.  This is a real eye-catcher for this appellation concerning price-quality ratio. This wine becomes a real jewel to enjoy 5 years after harvest date. The price is very low because it has never been part of the ranking. It deserves a ranking more than ever and it is the all-time favorite for a future review of the ranking of the Graves.
