Graves Moelleux - Sauternes
Alcohol 13,0 %
The vineyard of Ch. Rayne Vigneau is the second highest in the region (after Ch. D’Yquem), near the village of Bommes. This cru owes its name to the first owner Daniel de Vigneau. The terroir has lots of stone such as amethyst, quartz and even sapphire. The chateau opened its new cellars under the rule of the owners Credit Agricole Grands Crus in 2013. In November 2015 they sold the chateau to Mr. Derek Rémy Smith, the number one in long distance-sales through his catalogue ‘L’homme Moderne’. Ch. Rayne Vigneau has an exceptional terroir and is a modern Sauternes. The wine is not sticky sweet but rather fresh. It is enjoyable when young and can be kept for a very long time. Besides, the price-quality ratio remains very interesting.
