Ch. La Dauphine belongs to the 10 most beautiful of the appellation, not only for its taste but also for its estate and chateau. This property has approximately 40 ha, is located on a slope next to the Dordogne and used to belong to the family Jean-Pierre Moueix. Currently Jean Halley and his son Guillaume have transformed this cru to the highest level of the appellation. The vinification material was entirely renewed and the vines that have a reasonable age are the base for a very good wine. The vineyards are now maintained better and a second wine brings the first wine to a higher level than before. The château strives for a well-maintained planet and obtained the HVE level 3 certificate (High Environmental Value). They attained the highest-level regarding respect of humanity for nature. In 2019, the wine was bio certified after 3 years of conversion.
