Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classé
This magnificent
Grand Cru Classé of 12 ha is perfectly situated on the clay-lime slopes in the
south of St. Emilion, next to Ch. Pavie and Ch. Larcis Ducasse. The vineyards
benefit from the extreme sun-oriented location. The property changed owners several
times the last few years. First it was in hands of the wine trader Dominique
Hebard, then it came in hands of Chinese, after this the Cypriot John Renos had
the ownership and in 2017 it went back in hands of the Chinese Peter Kwok (same
owner of Ch. Haut Brisson and Ch. Tour St. Christophe). Jean-Christophe Meyrou,
ex co-worker and manager of Vignobles Peré Vergé (le Gay & la Violette) now
has the leadership and does this extremely well. The style has volume and
roundness with a very nice acidity.
