Ch. Pontet Canet
belongs to the ‘Rising Stars’ of Pauillac. It deserves the title ‘Premier Grand
Cru Classé’ more than ever. The beautiful terroir of 80ha is property of Alfred
Tesseron. The director of the domain Jean-Michel Comme is the source of a very qualitative
development of the cru. Since 2010 they are certified bio. A big part of the
vineyard is treated by horses to keep the soil airy. The biodynamics contribute
to a tasty wine with splendid fruit, a style that many people know to
appreciate and which is part of the success of the last few years. From 2017, a
new cuverie with 32 different concrete cuvees of 40hl are being used which
allows more parcel vinification.
