This cru belongs to the
now 90-year-old Jean Gautreau since 1969. It excels in its quality year after
year. One of the reasons for this is that the terroir looks over the Gironde
and is situated next to great names as Ch. Montrose and Ch. Calon Ségur. Today,
the domain has 95ha. Sociando Mallet can be kept very well (15 years without
any problems). Wait 5 years before opening to reach the full
potential.
